Where can I find a trusted website for free ebooks?

  • I recently got a Nook Color for Christmas, and I noticed when I went to the Barnes and Noble store that the ebooks are really expensive on the website. Does anyone know of any trusted websites that have cheaper (or free) ebooks for download that are compatible with the Nook? I found this website, http://www.bookdownload-center.com/ but I'm not exactly sure how trustworthy it is. If anyone has any information, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    I like the free section at eBookMall: http://www.ebookmall.com/free-ebooks I'm not sure if the ebooks will work on a Nook Color but they do work on a Nook Touch.

Not that are the same books B&N are selling. The publishers basically have a monopoly on those titles, until copyright runs out at least. With that monopoly, publisher and vendor set prices. Sites like Piratebay are just that piracy. You don't trust pirtates as a rule.
