My HDMI cable doesnt seem to work with my TV - what can i do?

I believe you have bought a 1.2V HDMI Cable, Check www.ukhdmi.com they have the best and cheapest 1.3V HDMI Cables.

Hi James Simply its one of 2 things, you either have a doddgy lead or the HDMI output on the dvd is working or setup, best thing is to install a scart lead, see if the player is working fine!. if it is (still having the hdmi lead in) go to the menu, look for output, it may have various options, check to ensure its selected or on. i had this problem, when taking my unit back i looked a little daft! but i would have thought it should have come on automatically, nevermind!. if it doesnt have the bit in the menu then its got an autodetect on the player, so when the leads in itauto outputs to the hdmi lead. Or try a mates lead just for peice of mind.... best to check the tv has the hdmi inout selcted too just in case (like my pioneer plasma) had to be turned on too!. hope this helps if only a little! good luck!

With the TV on and in the correct HDMI input, try to turn on/off the Player. Some players need to exchange keys with the TV before they allow a signal over HDMI. If that does not help, with the player on, turn the TV on/off. Make sure both HDMI ends are connected securely. You can try another cable, sometime cheaper cables work better..
