Does the samsung blackjack 2 have gps?

How to use GPS on Samsung Fascinate?

  • Okay. I am a total noob at this. I got my Samsung Fascinate a couple weeks ago and i'm used to it and everything but I can't find a way to us the GPS? I mean, where do u go? Do u have to install something? I really don't know? I mean, i'm looking everywhere. & its weird because I'm starting to think that this phone doesn't even have GPS? Like, my brother has the iPhone 4.. Which is pretty cool. He showed me like the GPS and like how the phone can show where theres traffic and all.. So I was just wondering, can this phone do that? If so, how? Thanks.

  • Answer:

The phone has GPS, but you need to download "google maps" from the market first. When I bought my phone the verizon guy already installed it but it may not be on yours yet. Anyways, after that go to: settings>location and security> and check "VWZ location services," "Standalone GPS Services," and "Google Location Services." After that go to your apps. There should be a blue app titled "navigation" (this came with google maps). Click on that and type in your address of where you want to go. It usually takes the app a few minutes to pinpoint your location, but after that it'll work just fine. the GPS on there is seriously a life saver for me. Also, as an added tip, when you're done with the GPS pull down the notification bar and turn the GPS setting off. It drains the battery so it's not good to leave it on.
