Make a dvd player remote work for another dvd player?

  • i lost the remote to my dvd player and i have a remote that goes with another dvd player that doesnt work. is there any way to get that remote to work for my current dvd player. the dvd player is a insignia and the remote is a cyberhome ch-dvd 300. there cheap little ones and i just dont want to go buy another one since im in the middle of a move and have a blu ray player that is being driven across the country. thanks

    i dont think you can. Unless you have a universal remote. trust me i have tried using other remotes but it doesnt work.

Really depends... Most DVD players have there own Encryption so their remote only works on their DVD player however there is no real way to change the encryption Try a Universal remote they have the ability to change the encryption and they are relitively cheap. Regards Jack
