Is every Blue Ray Disk in HD?

Whitch one is better? HD-DVD player or Blu Ray disk player?

    They both are about the same video wise. Depends on which movies you like. Blu-Ray has alot more companies backing it but Universal has a big libary that is keeping HD-DVD in the game. If you are thinking of getting a stand alone player then take a look at some of the new players that can play both. I bought a PS3 so I'm pretty much in the Blu-Ray camp for now. You could also just get an Up-convert DVD player and be good to go.

a PS3 can also play blu-ray disk. they only cost $600 dollars compared to a $1000 stand alone blu-ray player. the new format war has just started. it really depends on what movies you want to see and what formats they are on. its hard for the human eye to see the differences.

get a ps3, they play blu-rays. if you have an xbox 360, you can get an hddvd player attachment. total, it will cost around $1000, but you have hddvd, blu-ray and ps3.

It all depends on what codecs are being used for the movie. A lot of HD DVDs are done in an inferior VC-1 codec, the neutral companies then use the same codec for the blu-ray and all the analysts pick there noses and say its the same quality. However, MPEG-4 Blu-ray movies due have a slight advantage due to high bandwith and do look better. Not a huge difference, but its noticible. Blu-ray is the superior choice and you can pick up a ps3 for 600. it now does 1080p/24!
