Well Sony Ericsson have had supply problems after the disaster in Japan, this is why they made the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V with a downgraded camera, from 8MP to 5MP, the phones are made in China, only some of the components came from Japan, but Sony Ericsson are known for their quality so I would not worry, I would if it was from a less well known brand.
