First having a spreadsheet for passwords is rather lame and not very safe. Download KeePass . It is free and a great way to manage your passwords. Back to the question. Select the icon with the mouse, right click, and select Delete. It should only delete the shortcut. If not, thanks to undelete, you can bring it back, store it anywhere you want and then delete the icon again.

oh that's easy. you just put the shortcut in the recycling bin. NOT THE REAL THING. it may tell you that your not deleting the file.
