What cables do I need for the dazzle DVD recorder?

  The red/white/yellow RCA jacks in the FRONT of a TV are usually INPUTS to the TV, (to put signals in to the TV) not outputs (to get signals out of the TV). They're put there to conveniently hook a camcorder to them for playback. So, the issue isn't that the TV has monaural audio. You must hook the Dazzle to outputs (usually in back of the TV) for the Dazzle to see anything. You can hookup just the yellow and white plugs from the Dazzle and go without the red one. It will get video, and the mono audio from the TV will be on the right channel only (the left channel will be dead). Or, get a "Y" adapter to split the mono audio to both channels. BTW, there is probably another set of inputs on the back too, so look carefully at the labels or raised lettering to find the outputs (you may need a flashlight!).
