Is Sim Lim Sq a "safe" place for beginners who wants to shop for new gagets or DIY com?

  • I shop for a new mp4 player n found that one shop is selling mp4 player 4gb memo at $299 n another shop selling exactly the same player at $265.So y do the price vary so much?DIY computer i go to #03-09 Headway.He promise free upgrade to Window vista Basic but after money is paid,he denied n say i have to pay.The old com the next dayi tried to take back,he say it's junk i throw it away without consulting me.It's AMD n i am sure the parts he can sell to earn some extra cash in the view of a business man like him.His name is Raj.

    I believe you are not a local? As I am surprised that you don't know what is so called "bargain". You need to know how to bargain at Sim Lim Sq. Too many competition there, so just "pretend to walk off" if the price is not "reasonable". They will lower the price.

U need to bargain at sim lim square... that place is mainly for foreigners as the shop owners can 'chop' them... =D However, its a good place to shop for hardware of computer if u really have lots of time n good in bargaining... tried bring ur mum along... as I guess she will be a good bargainer... =D
