How do I play DVD movies on my PC?

On my PC it won't play DVD's. Well it will play movies but the DVD's that wopn't play is burned DVD's.

Wel I got family DVD's and I want to watch them also I got a DVD from my school but for some reason they won't even load onto my computer. No message comes no nothing. All it does is show the CD icon near the mouse then it goes away and the DVD rom light turns off after a few seconds. What can I do to get those DVD's to work? Also I have Cyberlink Power DVD 6.5

Some burned DVDs and CDs just don't work on certain players. Sorry!
