Can I swap the parts from a 16gb Iphone 2g(broken digitizer) to a 8gb Iphone 2g(broken motherboard)?
-
So, I have a 16gb Iphone 2g that has a broken digitizer(screen) but has a good internal system. Also, I have an 8gb Iphone 2g with a broken internal system but a working digitizer. Can I swap the Motherboard and Battery from the 16gb Iphone into the 8gb Iphone? Will it work? Someone who fixes Iphones told me that Iphone 2g's are very picky and it needs the same components from the exact same phone(e.g. 16gb parts to a 16gb phone and 8gb parts to an 8gb phone), so this wouldn't work. Is this true? ======== can someone explain this in detail? Not just yes or no. ========

Answer:
Yeah, that wouldn't work. Each processor is "trained" to use a certain amount of memory, so it can't be done.
