I have a comcast a cable feed, what is and, where can i get a compatable cable box , what is a descrambler?

The cable company provides boxes, either free or at a low cost. A tv with a digital tuner should be able to get basic stations with-out a converter box. Signals from premium and pay channels come in scrambled, (wavy, or totally blocked), a descrambler is a device that converts the signal into something that you can watch. A descrambler could be a box that you plug your cable into; or it could be a card that you slide into the back of the box. Be advised: 1)it's illegal & 2) digital companies now know which signal you're watching and companies like directv send out Zappers routinely to disable illegal cards so if you purchased a descrambling device off e-bay or from anywhere it may only last a very short time and you'll be s.o.l., perhaps even facing criminal charges. If you're desperate to watch free tv you can still get one of those old fashioned huge satellite dishes and legally receive many free stations, such as abc little rock, playboy london, etc.
