Can you copy from a DVR to a VCR?

Can you hook up a VCR to a DVR recorder so you can copy a tape to a DVD?

  • Answer:

Absolutely YES! simply remove the rca cable (connecting the vcr and tv) at the tv side. connect those to the input of the dvd recorder (be sure to insert correctly - video to video; audio to audio). at the dvd recorder, set the input source. now you are ready to copy all the tapes you want to a dvd. hope i made it simple & clear for you!

Yes, we did this so I could get all of the old family video tapes on DVD before they degraded too much. I also made several copies for the family.

absolutely but you would need a very sophisticated DVD recorder. it would be easier to do it with your computer. plug the VCR into the av input on your computer. if you have it. then just burn a dvd in the DVD burner drive.
