Sky+HD Box USB Port & SATA Port?
-
Hi what's the USB port for and the SATA port.is it for copying your recorded programs from the planner too a portable hard drive or external hard drive.because when I plug in a normal USB pen drive 1GB It does not work on it.is there any way of enabling it too make it work.

Answer:
They are for "future use". They are disabled becasue they do not want to permit unauthorized content piracy. They are there becasue the chipset has those ports, and they could be used. If they left the connectors off and had a use for the ports, they would need to replace those boxes with ones which have the sockets included. The eSATA port can be used to add an HDD, should they enable it, but will be secured to the box. USB could be used for control devices, or mass storage, to play certain content on a TV.
