What is a free DVD to avi or mp4 converter?

Convert avi movie file into a file that you can burn and play on a dvd?

  • the question speaks for itself. if i burned mpg file onto a dvd( it was a .avi file b4) would it play on a dvd player? cuz i tried to burn a movie but it was .avi so it didnt wrk. if this format (MPG) wont work. what do i need it to convert to. (i cant convert it to "dvd") the "prism video converter" it dusnt have that. what it dus have is : .avi .mp4 .wmv .asf .mpg .mov .flv which of those formats can i format the movie clip so it can burn and play properly on a dvd? HELP ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!

You don't need to convert your .AVI files if your DVD plays DivX (check for that logo on your player). But if it doesn't label it then you have to use an .AVI to DVD converter. Google convertXtoDVD ;)
