How do you find a hidden camera?

I may be super paranoid, but how do I find out if there is a hidden camera in my room?

  • The reason that I started thinking that there might be one is because a while ago one night a good song came on and I started singing and dancing to it (yeah, like a dork). Afterwords I noticed a small red light from this mask that I made in 5th grade that was hanging up in my room, but I didn't think anything of it (I guess I just thought it was reflecting from my TV or I was going crazy or something) and I went to sleep. The next day at school in one of my classes I sort of overheard some guys talking, something about a video. It made me think of the little red light I had seen and I was freaked out, but I tried to shrug it off because, really, what would be the chances of a camera being in my room? My life isn't exciting at all and whenever I'm in my room I'm literally doing nothing. The only "exciting" thing for people to see would be me changing and of course singing and dancing around my room like an idiot. But then, later in the class one of the guys was bugging me if I knew the words to the SAME song I had been singing and dancing to the night before! I lied and told him that I only knew like 2 lines (for two reasons: 1. because I'm a terrible singer and didn't want to do it 2. because now I was officially creeped out). Even though I kept saying no, he was insisting that I sing it, and that I knew the words! So, it might just be some coincidence, but how can I know for sure? What is the cheapest and easiest way to check for a camera in my room?

    Take that mask down and look for it, even if you have to rip it apart. You may just be paranoid, but really... we all are. I would do anything to make sure my privacy isn't invaded. If you think you are being invaded then tell someone. Most likely a coincidence, is NOT a coincidence. So think about that. Clean your room from front to back. Re-arrange it even! Has that person been in your room ever before? Did they have enough time to put a juvinile camera in it? My thought is that the battery may die eventually.

That most certainly is creepy... First off most people don't go around and thinking that there is a camera in their room so something is/has given u that feeling. I agree with others here who else has/had access to ur room??? friends of brother/sister and unless u r clueless at life and what is happening in it, a camera is not there to catch ur terrible singing but rather to catch u undressing and being naked. I would do a thorough sweeping snoop of ur room and share this experience with ur parents to help assist u and make sure all is well and safe in ur house... There are devices you can buy at a security shop for like nanny cams to watch people who watch ur children that can detect if there is an electronic current in ur room. Go with ur gut feelings because they tell u things of how u fel inside... be careful and watchful and if it turns out to be something or them then they broke the law...
