Why does my iPod touch keep dying?

Why does my iPod touch keep "overheating"?

  • I put overheating in quotes because it isn't actually overheating! So this started yesterday when i took a shower and i left my iPod touch gen 4 in the bathroom. I think my iPod may have gotten some hot steam in it, because when i turned it on it said "the temperature is too high please give you iPod time to cool down" blah blah blah... so i put it on a cold book on the floor, my house is only about 50 degrees, outside it is about 30, with ice/snow. But then my iPod would not turn on so I charged it, and after waiting a while and holding in the power button for 30 seconds it finally turned back on. But now, if I turn on a song, or play a game, after abuut 1 minute-1 1/2 minutes it will freeze and give me the same message even when the iPod is FREEZING COLD again my house is also pretty cold! why could it be doing this?? did some of the steam get trapped in my iPod? By the way I restarted my iPod once and it worked for about an hour but now it is doing the same thing. ~thx

  • Answer:

If this were my ipod, I would call an Apple store or go into one, and have them trouble shoot the problem, and ask those questions there.
