Can I use dish TV receiver in UK, which was purchased in Pakistan. ?

Hello, (ANS) The answer is YES! & Perhaps? OK! let me see if I can explain here. No.1 The physical Dish part of your system is definitely not a problem at all, the dish itself is only a collector its like a listening ear, its passive in nature. No.2 The major problem I suspect you might have here in the UK comes with the LNB (the low noise box). The LNB is the detector box that sits in the center of your dish. This detector box has to be tuned to a specific satalite transmission frequency and different satalite TV companies use different frequencies from each other so that signals & TV broadcasts don't clash or conflict. No.3 This means each company requires a specific kind or make of LNB (detector) to go with your particular dish. No.4 Thus you need to try and find out if your Zeneda CD1004IS will receive specific UK satellites & UK TV services. Its down to what your systems detector is capable of. You ideally need to get hold of the technical specifications of this system. You could try contacting the makers of the system or seeing if you can find that information from the makers website. I cant say 100% but doubt it very much it is probably on a different frequency if were you I would check with a TV engineer
