Do you own an Amazon kindle? Is it worth the money?

Answer:
I'm a Kindle 2 owner. I like it very much because it is so convenient that I can bring my favorite books along with me in the handy device, and it helps utilizing my time. Now, I just use the Kindle to read some news or magazines whenever I've some spare time in between lessons, events, when I'm waiting for my friends, shuttle bus, etc. I like the text-to-speech especially, it allows me to "read" when I'm on the step machine... or anything else as it keep my eyes and hands free. If you like to read, it will be a good saving in long term too, because Kindle books are cheaper than actual books. I've also read a good article previously on how to get the most out of the initial investment of the Kindle 2 here: http://www.speedreaderxreview.com/is-kindle-2-worth-the-price Hope it helps.

I'll say the best place to check out is the actual customer review on Amazon. There you can see the opinions from actual users of the Kindle, and you'll why it is worth to the eyes of actual users. In case you are considering to buy one, read one or two of the reviews and guess you will have your decision: http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Freview%2FB00154JDAI%3Fie%3DUTF8%26ref%255F%3Dcm%255Frdphist%255F5%26showViewpoints%3D0%26filterBy%3DaddFiveStar&tag=querystr-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957

I think that owning a Kindle or other type of device that allows you to read books electronically is a very subjective issue. I personally would much rather collect actual books. To me, there is just something intrinsically enjoyable about having actual books on paper. It is kind of like having a newspaper to read in the morning. Even so, I can see the benefits of a kindle, in that it is very small and you can carry many books with a small footprint. When I tried one out, I was also very impressed at the screen. It is very easy on the eyes and not bright and glaring like a computer screen. In short, it comes down to the way that you prefer to read books and whether you think that a kindle would be a benefit to you in the long run.

I have 3 full bookshevles and the idea of having up to 1500 books in a little piece of hardware makes it worth the cash! For someone who just reads on occasion and not always on the run, it won't be worth it.
