Which DVD Recorder should I buy?

I am planning to buy DVD Recorder and would like to know which one is the best? At what specific features do I need to pay attention? Please let me know about the model # and the brand. Thank you in advance.

i like the sony 405...has nite / infarered recording ...and can record to dvd-r +r -rw and +rw...tho they also have recorders that i think may be better (werent available a few months ago) ...that record directly to a "hard drive" rather than a 3 inch disk....depends on which you prefer really.

As he says above and the LG burners are great. I dont got the #'s but I never had trouble with LG's or Sony dvdrw. DONT buy philips as they are incompatible beyond belief.
