ONE TOUCH VIDEO CAPTURE VC500 DEVICE?

How do I capture video off a Tv with a vc500?

  • I recently dug up an old One-Touch Video Capture VC500 with the effort in mind to capture some gameplay videos from my xbox off my TV. I downloaded a program that would help me do this, but the weird thing is, is that the signal is coming from the TV through the device, and too the computer, but it's just not what's on the tv. The program just shows a bunch of flickering lines, and they go away whenever I unplug the device from the Tv. Is there a different program I need to install? Or do I need to place the device into a different port? (My Xbox is plugged into the AV2 port, and I currently have the VC500 in the "FRONT" port.) I would greatly appreciate a response.

  • Answer:

Why not plug the Xbox directly into the VC500? Another method would be to connect a splitter to the video and audio cable so both the video and audio could be delivered to both devices. The "Front" port is an input, not an output on most TVs I have seen.
