ELECTRONIC PEOPLE, I NEED YOUR HELP!! I wanna connect my laptop my flatscreen, What do i buy? HELP!!!?

    Some laptops have more than one output for external display. A VGA & HDMI. You have to choose one output. Some flat screen TV's have more than one input. A VGA & HDMI, you have to choose one input. If you have a VGA cable, that is a 15pin cable on the ends, you can use that. That will only have video displayed, no audio. Now if your laptop & flatscreen have HDMI connectivity, I'd use that one. Reason is that it will display the video on screen & have audio as well. Now either cable, so basically you'll connect the output from the laptop to the input to the flatscreen. Now select which source you want to use on the flatscreen so that it can be scene on the screen. You might have to adjust the resolution on the laptop to fit the entire image on the flatscreen. Both cables are priced $20 or less. No need to get the high priced ones. Enjoy.

I needed to buy not only the cables but also a digital converter or digital adapter... http://www.amazon.com/Component-video-YPbPr-Converter-Up-scale/dp/B0016SN49Y/ref=pd_vtp_e_5 this is a link to the one I got. They sent me cables to connect from the converter to my laptop but I had to get the dvi cable to connect from my tv to the converter. Hdmi is the port that has three rows of holes in it lined up and sometimes it'll have screw holes on either side. The link I gave you hooks up both hdmi and the rca cables.

That will depend on what types of connections you have available on your laptop and flat screen.

If you have HDMI out put in your Laptop then all you need id HDMI cable
