How do you transfer footage to the computer?

Is there a way to transfer footage from a VHS tape to a computer?

  • I was wondering if there was a way to transfer VCR footage to ypur computer or onto a DVD to put on a computer to record video game gameplay. If it is possible, I doubt the quality is that great but thats okay. I was just wondering if there is something that you can use to do that.

  • Answer:

Your better off hooking your tv up to your pc. Thats going to cost quite a bit of money though unless you have the red, white, and yellow cables already on your pc.

First, I'd suggest buying a Dazzle Digital Video Converter of some sort, and if you don't have any double-pronged Y/W/R A/V Cables, get those, too. You can probably find them at Best Buy, Circuit City, or something like that. Then, after installing the Software, hook up a VCR near your computer, plug the DVC into your computer's USB drive, and hook up the cables from your VCR's OUT Ports to the Converter. After that, just follow the Instructions the software gives you on how to record VCR footage, and that's about it.
