Burining DVD's?

Why are there always DVDS coming out with the unrated extended cuts and or additional film versions?

• I have always been wondering why that the DVDS came out with many unrated extended cuts, added features, and original theatrical verisons---I was so frustrated because I wanted to buy the unrated extended cuts DVD when releasing it. I felt like a waste my time to keep looking what I wanted that. I often blindly missed the editorial unrated DVDS. Moreover, I hate that the DVDs always come out with neither a trilogy nor double, but the completed series or sequel novels are not finished. For example, Harry Potter has completed seven books. Is that right? So Harry Potter DVDs came out with a trilogy movie that is based three years of Harry Potter books. Why are they kept coming the DVDS with various editions or additional volume DVDS?

  For Harry Potter alone? Because they know all of the overly obsessed Potterheads will buy them. I didn't NEED to get the special editions of the DVDs, I already had just the DVD...But I wanted it to watch more. Same with the blu-ray, I didn't need the blu-rays because they are the same as the special edition...However, you get maximum movie mode. It's the exact same with other movies. People who love them will purchase more then one of the same movie, simply because you get a little something extra. I hope this was remotely helpful to what you're asking. If not, sorry :(
