Is hd better than blue ray?

I ask before wich is better blue ray or hd dvd player they say blue ray but at the end who going to win battle

  Well HD DVDs hold less and cost less, blu-ray DVD can hold about 40% more but cost more. Right now the cheapest HD DVD player is about $300, Blu-Ray is $600 with the PS3, or about $900 for a normal one. HD DVDs right now are in the lead, but in the past year(07) blu-ray has been sell 2-1 against HD. Target has said they are selling only Blu-Ray. Just recently Parmount switched from Blu-Ray to HD-DVDs. There is no really way to tell which one is going to win. I think it is going to be the same thing that happened with the DVD+R and DVD-R wars. Neither won, but DVD+R is the only one that has Double layer right now. Side-note: Xbox 360s have a HD-DVD external drives, and I believe the new ones have internal drives. Toshiba had once posted an article about the revolution, now called Wii, which was suppose to come with an HD-DVD player. No one officially knows what the Wii has since Nintendo only said it has an Optical Drive, which means it could have something from a CD to Blu-Ray.
