What's different about the new LED tv's vs. LCD tv's?

60hz vs 120hz vs 240hz? LED vs LCD? Does it matter?

  • Im getting rid to start making bids for hd 3d tvs on ebay but I want to know what is better between 60hz, 120hz, and 240hz? whats the difference and does it matter? Same thing with LCD vs LED, difference? Does it matter? Thanks guys!

  • Answer:

Does it matter?..... It sure does..... The wrong choice will burn up, not operate or not be able to plug into an outlet at all..... You actually do not have a choice in this matter.... If your here in the USA then the outlet in your house, workplace or apartment is going to be 110 to 125 volts 60 HZ..... You can not plug a 240 volt 50 or 60 HZ device into a wall outlet thats set for 120 volts 60 HZ...... It just wont work.... I think if your in great Britain all outlets are 240 volts 50 HZ

My recommendation would be go for 120Hz LCD (much economical) or LED, that would be more than enough unless you want to spend some extra bucks on 240Hz
