Why can't I connect my Nintendo DS to Wi-Fi?

Ds, wii,Wifi? Wep code, ssid? Please help ;)?

• Ok so i have a ds lite, and the family has a wii. We have a wireless linksys brodband router. ( it says 2.4GHz on it) Every time i try to connect my wii to the shopping channel, animal crossing cf to other town and my ds for animal crossing to other towns to visit people far away, or any other wifi compatable game it never works! i get so frusterated! My dad doesnt know what to do either,on time he gave me the info but it still didnt work. what do i need to connect and how do i? please help, thanks :) i kind of need to know what a wep key is ssid auto obtain ip adress ip adress subnet mask gateway auto obtain dns primary dns secondary dns also my dads computer and this computer gets internet so obviously the router works, i just dont under stand the wifi, i know its alot of questions but hoopefully maybe someone is out ther to answer? thanks have a great day :) ps. i have also gone on nintendo help wifi website and i cant get it.i am only 13 yo girl thanks :) have a great day :)

  You just need the SSID (to search for it, or know you are on the right router) and WPA key or password (WEP should not be used anymore for it is no longer secure). The device should get the rest from DHCP.
