Why doesn't car speaker work?

Why would a car speaker stop working?

  • So my chevy cobalt has the stock speakers in there. I already went through the trouble of replacing one speaker because it was giving me problems. Now another one is doing the same thing, it will not work for weeks and then all of the sudden I turn my car on and bam all speakers are working and sound perfectly fine. It is obviously something to do with the wiring on the speaker, not the wiring to the speaker, not connecting the speaker, not in my car, the wiring on the speaker. Is there any method of maybe cleaning or some little trick to get the wiring to continuously receive the signals being sent to it rather than less than half the time. It really does work like this, turn car on...doesnt work and isn't going to work; turn car on, it is working and will continue to work until I turn car off and the next time I turn my car on...its not working. Help me I have much better things to spend money on than a speaker that should be frikin working.

Sounds like a loose connection to me.
