Yes you can. simply connect the DVD player to the input connection on the VCR the same way you would hook up two VCRs to record a VHS. Start recording just before you press play on the DVD player once the menu screen has loaded. Use the Coaxial (cable) connection as it is less likely to have any encryption or copy prevention. Keep in mind that copying DVDs on to VHS is still illegal if you have the intent to distribute your copies. Copies for back up purposes are fine.

the other five answers are correct just make sure that your input to output connections are correct. yes there are dvds that can also record all in one machine so you can go from one to the other. you can make one copy for yourself and keep the original for when you need to refresh your copy. do not put up for sale he feds have no sense of humor about that.

As long as your DVD player has a recorder then you should be able to record from VHS to DVD

Demun

Plug the DVD player into the VCR, then plug the VCR into the TV. Play the DVD, and press record on the VCR, and the DVD should record onto the tape.

The VHS player has to have recording capabilities. If it does, do as above.
