Does the Garmin Nuvi 1340 come with free lifetime updates?

Hi, Just wondering how this works because the guy in the shop said it has lifetime updates for the life of the product? Is this true? Can someone please help me out? Thanks

Answer:
From memory you get free updates for the first year and then you pay for updates after that. Although once you've paid the once I think you get lifetime after that - about £40 I think.
