Where can I get free ebooks for downloading?

Do you know any good sites for downloading free ebooks?

  • I am sort of tired from spending so much money from buying ebooks. Does anyone know any good sites for downloading good, free ebooks... I'm interested in downloading some Nora Roberts books, but I can't find any good websites... Please help, thanks :D

    The biggest site is Project Gutenberg. But all their books are public domain, so they tend to specialize in 'classics', i.e 19th century books you never heard of. Worth a look though. Also there are libraries that allow you to download e-books as a form of taking a book out. The downloads are only good for 14 or 21 days, like a regular library book, but you can renew them (in most cases) or borrow them again. http://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/EBook_Lending_Libraries If you have a library card, check out your own local library's website and you might see something about downloading ebooks and/or audiobooks.
