Does anyone here own the new iPhone 3G?

Was anyone else disappointed by the iPhone 3G S?

  • The release of the new iPhone 3G S was today. Honestly, I expected a LOT more from apple here. Except for better speeds, it's basically just a new software download. I mean, i know that there's the better camera features and everything, but now that they've dropped the price of the regular iPhone 3G to $99, the extra features that come with the S aren't worth an extra hundred bucks. Anyone agree???

    The only reason I was disappointed was that I have the iPhone which can't take videos. Most cell phones can do that so the iPhone should too. The new iPhone 3G S has a video camera and AT&T customers stuck in contracts must pay much more to get it. But yeah...it probably could have been better. I think the new features were all things that should have already been included in past iphones.

I was really bummed out when I heard the news that there was a new Iphone released by apple. I mean come on most of the cellphones nowadays can record videos and voice calls! They should've just made an upgrade to Iphone 3G so it can also do that! :( It's really so sad that they made this new and now its as if Iphone is just LAST YEAR'S Technology. :| Now It's not even worth bringing out since everyone will have it. :| It'll be just like any other celphone. :(

Yeah.. I'm REALLY disappointed. When the first iPhone came out, it was ground breaking! A completely new thing, finger friendly touch screen. Great UI. Awesome. Then the iPhone 3G came along. Added 2 features I used every.GPS and 3G. And it even had a new design, which I think looked pretty awesome. iPhone 3Gs? A compass.... Well yeah, there's video.. and a better camera.. and a faster processor. But it looks exactly the same. The bump in capacity is cool, but the actual hardware is really disappointing. The more exciting aspect is definitely iPhone OS 3.0. MMS, Tethering, Copy and Paste, Push notifications, in app purchases (impulse buys =D), and a couple other things. All in all. Hardware: Disappointing. Software: Impressive.

Well, your partly right, there are a few things that the iPhone 3G S could've had, but its still worth the extra $100 because of the camera, if it cracks up to what it is shown to do in the video then it will be a very high quality camera which is a lot better then most camera phones.

brah u dont understand the reason it has a faster processor so the apps can be ownage and better graphics and content. soon im guseesing 6 mo to a year there are gonna be huge apps that ony the s can process. so the apps were emphasized cuz the S will be the master at them. word,

no because it has the new voice control feature, which allows you to just talk to your ipod about contacts and also songs u want to play by just speaking to it. it also is 2x faster than the original 3g. And it probally has more features
