What's the best TV converter box?

New TV quality is choppy, is an HDMI cord to digital converter box possible?

  • We just got a new TV and the quality isn't the best with the regular channels on cable. However, we tried a DVD and the quality was great. We have a digital converter box (I think that's what it's called...it gives us more channels), and I'm not sure if there's an HDMI port on the converter box. There IS a place for an HDMI cable on the TV, though. My question is this: -IF- there is a place for an HDMI cable on the box, and if we bought an HDMI cable, would it make the quality for the normal television better? Any advice or suggestions here? I already went through the image settings for the TV and it didn't help that much.

  • Answer:

Do you have HD tv coming into your home? Yes the HDMI cable will make a difference if you are receiving HD from the tv station. If you have cable or Satellite, you have to order HD programming for your account.
