Do I need an HD DVD Player to play HD DVDs, or just an HD TV?
-
I have an HD TV and a Sony Surround Sound DVD system; does anyone know if I could play HD DVDs and get an HD picture, or would I have to have a new HD DVD Player? Thanks!

Answer:
No you can't. You need to get a HD-DVD player. But If I were you. I'd go buy one of the new $399 PS3's. Their is a Blu-Ray disc Player in them so even if you never play a video game it would still be cheaper then buying an HD-DVD player. A Blu-Ray disc is the same as an HD-DVD for movie viewing purposes. They both play HD Movies. Plus from What I hear Blu-Ray is winning the HD war.

You need an HD DVD player to play them and a HDTV to watch them on, and if you want to play Blu Ray you need a Blu Ray player as well.
