I need to burn a video onto a DVD, that is playable on a typical DVD player. What file format do I have to select (as the format for my DVD)? The file is currently an ,mpg. I don't know if a DVD player will display this or not, so I'd like to convert it to a typical DVD video format.

Answer:
All DVD players can play MPEG2 files. That's what all DVDs you buy at the store are encoded at. If you use any other codec, it will be hit and miss.
