How To Buy Nintendo 3ds In India?

Which should I buy, E-reader (maybe Kindle) or Nintendo 3DS?

  • I have about $70 or $80 and I love reading, so I was thinking of getting a Kindle or some e-reader, but I also sort of want to get a Nintendo 3DS. The 3DS will be around $300 (!!!) but the Kindle is either $150 or $190, and it would take me ALOT longer to save up for a 3DS. Which one? B.Q. If you have a Kindle, how is it? And how much does it cost for an e-book?

  • Answer:

If you allocate the price of an e reader over the money you save on the slightly lower price of ebooks, you break even until about your 40th book you buy. The 3ds is flashy, fun, and you will own the first thing of its kind ever to exist. From a utilitarian standpoint, e reader is more useful and cheaper. I would argue that 3ds is a real treat to yourself, so buy that. Then if you need a new book just save up the 7 dollars for each book. That wont take any time!!

Alright, so an e-reader or the new 3DS is the basic question. Right? 3DS: Pros: -As it says in the name: 3D, and a really good thing about this is NO glasses and a slide to change from 2D to 3D and everything between. -No getting rid of your old DS games since this is both 3D and 2D. -There will be a Mii channel, the camera ( which will convert pictures to 3D too ) the store, and all of the major features of the DSi's. Cons: -Cost, as many websites have said they hope Nintendo learns from this mistake. -No GBA slot, like the DSi's. - For you, the time to wait. E-reader- Ok first of all I have to say I own a Nook from B&N, not a Kindle. - Nook VS Kindle- Price of books: The BN books at a glance look a few dollars cheaper, but with any e-reader, the price is better than the actual book, especially a new book at $9 on the e-reader to $20 for the actual book. - Nook is about $150 and Kindle is about $130, but the Nook has touch screen instead of buttons for the cheaper one, or for the newest version the entire screen is touch, either way Kindle has buttons and both Nooks have touch screen. - I believe BOTH have the e-reader technology so you aren't hurting your eyes, like with the computer. - Overall, E-readers have the internet, and cheaper books. With your entire library with you anywhere you go. I hope this helps you with your choice!!

The 3DS will be a lousy reader, but good at gaming. You have to see where you are getting books from, and get the reader compatible with that source. The Kindle is generally compatible only with their store, other readers can access a few other sources than their primary store.

In short, I won't choose iPad or Nook Color, because they're using backlight screen like computer screen, and is difficult to our eyes. Just not suitable for reading purpose. For other ebook readers including the B&N Nook, Sony Reader, and Amazon Kindle, I'll go for the Kindle. For the Sony Reader, many books (especially new releases) cannot be easily find on it. For the Nook, it is good but it is slower and less user friendly compared to the new version of Kindle. There is also quite a good comparison between the ebook readers here: http://bit.ly/whichebookreader

Read the reviews from actual owners, there are over 13,000: Kindle: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002Y27P3M/?tag=7357-20 Kindle DX (larger screen - good if you have trouble reading smaller text like me): http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002GYWHSQ/?tag=7357-20

What about a compromise? Have you considered a small Android-based tablet? That would allow you to read, play games, browse the internet and more.
