Which is a home theater system good?

Would this be a good home theater system?

I just wish I could test one of these out. Does anyone have a frisby surround sound system? All I want is a fairly inexpensive but good quality Surround Sound experiance, nothing like Harmon/Kardon or Bose or anything like that.   Is that possible? Quite frankly no. What you are talking about is HTIB. Home Theater In A Box. I can see that you are becoming savvy about audio by you comments about being sick of the junky brands and the PMPO ratings. However if you are ever to have a quality system you will have to move out of the HTIB mentality and start thinking separate components. It is true that some of the HTIB systems may sound quite decent but again it's a matter of you get what you pay for. To my mind, it's folly to pay big bucks for one of the higher priced HTIB systems like Bose (for the real poop on Bose see: http://www.midcoast.com/~jimthomp/bose-bad.html) when you could buy separate components and end up with a top notch system. Also, the Frisby brand name is unknown to me. It smacks of the old "white van speaker" scam. Looking at the specifications - total junk. A 4" subwoofer driver with a frequency response that goes down to 20Hz? Nice of them to figure out how to defy the laws of physics and not tell anyone. The satellite speakers use full range drivers - no tweeters so the frequency response is going to be spotty and the dispersion at the high end poor. There is no improvement here over RCA, Coby, Memorex, Hyundai, Dynex, etc etc
