What are the DVD and Blu-Ray Region Codes?

Unlocking dvd region codes? from region 2 to region 1?

    You can open it on your mac, change your region. You can only do this 5 times, so I suggest you use a DVD ripping program such as Handbrake to rip the DVD when it's in that region, then switch back. Ripping DVDs is 100% legal as long as you own the DVD and do not distribute the file to anyone else. PS. If you run out of region changing times, you can always reinstall your Mac OS, which resets the number back to 5.

You need to go to a window with list of all your computer components. (on Windows it is through Control Panel) There you should find the CD/DVD Drive and in its properties there should be a window for changing region. Sadly it is limited, Mine could do it only 10 time, but my mum's laptop only 3 times.

With a PC or a Mac you can change the region code between 3 and 5 times, after that it has to go back to the shop for a factory reset.
