Is there a DVD recorder that has component or HDMI input?

Answer:
I don't believe that any have HDMI inputs (but many have HDMI outputs). This is to prevent exact digital copies of DVD's. Of course, DVD format isn't good enough to capture HDTV or BluRay, so you don't really need HDMI anyway. Same for component inputs. I have one with S-video input and it works fairly well with an external broadcast TV converter box and the highest quality recording speed (2x DVD).
