Hello! You need to use a compression software, to allow the DVD content (which is on dual-layer media, 8.5GB) to fit onto your DVD-R disc (which is single-layer, 4.7GB). There are many programs available to complete this task for you, both inexpensive and free; one of the better no-cost versions is DVD Shrink, which may be downloaded at http://www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Tools/CD-DVD-Rip-Other-Tools/DVD-Shrink.shtml . If you are trying to copy "protected" material, you may also need an additional decryption program (DVD Shrink does offer some decryption capability), but that is another story. Let me know if I can help further. Best regards, Dana

you have to rip the dvd first, meaning copy the contents to your computer, THEN burn it on your dvd :) and when it says your dvd doesnt have enough space, buy a bigger capacity dvd. dvd ripper - http://www.imtoo.com/dvd-ripper.html dvd burner - http://www.imtoo.com/dvd-creator-b.html Personally used it, pretty happy with the results. No complicated settings, easy to use. Been using this since last year, and I’d recommend it. Hope it works for you too, check it out =)

The best program I've found for this is DVD Shrink. It breaks through the copy protection (usually), and it 'rips' a DVD, compressing it in the process to fit on a 4.5 gb blank. If you happen to have Nero, it will actually go ahead and burn the DVD. Otherwise it creates a VIDEO_TS folder or an ISO file, whichever you want, that then goes into your DVD burning software. I use this program several times a month. You can get DVD Shrink for nothing. Here: http://dvdshrink.org

Delete some files on your DVDR. Or try another blank DVD for burn.
