How to convert balcony railing into HD antenna?

Is there any way to convert avi file(624 x 352 pixel) to 720p, 480p or HD? and burning HD(720p) videos to DVD?

  • i downloaded house md seasons 1 through 6 and they are all in avi file format. all episodes are in 624 x 352 pixel resolution. i want to put them on DVD. that's why i want to convert them into high-resolution. hopefully 720p. is it possible to do that? i was thinking may be i can convert avi to mkv and then convert mkv into hd. can i do that? if yes how? what converter do i need? also how do i put 720p or HD or Blu-ray or MKV file videos on to DVD. can i buy special HD-DVDs? if yes, where and how much do they cost? If i put them on normal DVD will it fit and will it look like HD or no?
