How do I burn a DVD with Nero StartSmart?

I Have Nero Startsmart and an avi video file, i want to burn this so i can watch it on my DVD player. How?????

• Okay i have a avi file thats a movie and i want to burn it to a dvd so i can watch it on my dvd player, but everytime i tryed this it wont work or wont let me. I already know that nero can burn files thats an avi format but can anyone tell me where i can get a converter thats free, works and wont have a watermark in the center of the video. Or can anyone recommend to me another dvd burning program that can burn or converts the avi file thanks.
