What wireless all in one printer to buy?

Wondering if I should buy an all in one printer or individual photo printer and what brand is best?

  • I am interested in doing scrapbooking so would like a good quality photo machine but am so confused as to whether to buy an all in one or individual machine. I also would like to do recipe copying as I am an avid cookbook collector. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Either one would work, but if you have problems with the machine, you have lost all of its features, not just the printer, copier, etc. A good quality photo machine may produce better results than the all-in-one, and the software would probably be very specific and more feature rich than the software for a multi-purpose machine.

It sure is handy having an all-in-one. I love being able to make copies at home. I went with Canon all in one because the photo quality is great. The photo image is not quite as good if you use off brand ink, but I think that goes with most printers. Check cnet.com and pcmag.com for great reviews of the multifunction printers.

I have a standard inkjet printer, same as an all-in-one printer, and let me tell you, the photo quality from that thing is pretty bad. Besides looking blurry, the inks themselves will rub off the paper over time and can be destroyed if the paper gets wet or whatever. All-in-ones are fine for just about everything, but if you want really nice, long-lasting photos for a scrapbook, you will be better off with a hi-quality photo printer.
