they have a converter like at Best Buy that you can get. you plug your dvd player into the converter and then using a regular tv cable you plug the converter into your tv.

Grandma

take the cable from the wall hook it to the vcr (in) take another cable from the vcr (out) to the tv then hook up the the vcr to the dvd playerwith the red white and yellow cables( they go in the "in")

you need to go bye a connecting cord. its a cord that looks the same on both ends. you connect one to the end to the back of the VCR and the other to the cable hook up on the TV. you can get them at walmart. i hope this helps.

Okay, old tv's used a 200 ohm antenna lead. It looked like 2 screws side by side in the back. You have to use a 200 to 75 ohm connector to connect you to the coax cable that hooks into the VCR OUT plug. Then just connect the DVD to the VCR IN. If you have a cable box, you'll need an A-B switch there to seperate the sources. Have fun, and good luck.

your tv might not have audio/video input plugs which are the yellow, white, and red plugs you see at the back of most modern tvs. if your tv does not have these than there is a chance your vcr does. make sure you hook up your vcr to the tv then see if you can plug your dvd player into the vcr audio/vidio inputs. then turn on your tv and vcr and find the input button on your vcr and see if you can see your dvd video............

If you have a working VHS tape player then I guess you have Video/Audio connectors on your TV, you just need to look at the back of the DVD player, look for a yellow connector that says (Video Out) and two white and red connectors that say (Audio L Out - Audio R Out), now you need to hook these up to your VHS tape player, there should be exactly the same connections there but they'll be labeled as IN not OUT. If your VHS tape player is old it may have only one audio connection and the color of the connections may be different but that's ok. Just hook up the Video Out and the Audio Out from the DVD player to the Video In and the Audio In on the VHS player (if there's only one audio connection on the VHS player then connect any of the two connections to it and leave the other open). Now you have a working system. Just change the TV to the channel you usually change it to when you want to watch a VHS tape, turn on the VHS player and the DVD player, put a dvd in and enjoy it :)
