How do I switch a PS3 from HDMI to AV?

Playstation 3 HDMI trouble !!!HELP!!! ps3 hdmi sound works, but not video?

• I've been using my PS3 on a standard tv and stereo until now, using av cables. Everything worked fine. Today i got a new stereo system, a SONY Multi Channel Av receiver, model Number "STR-DG720". It supports HDMI, digital, and AV. So now i have a standard tv, and hd sound. So, i used an HDMI cable from the ps3 to the HDMI port on the receiver that was marked BD (Blu Ray, which is apparantly what to use for the ps3 on the receiver.) to make the switch, i had the hdmi cable plugged into "BD", and the av cable plugged into "VIDEO2". i went to video 2, and switched the settings on the ps3 to hdmi, for both video and audio. i switched to BD on the receiver, and i had no picture, but i had sound. Thats where i'm stuck. Is there a way that i can get my video to work through the hdmi cable, even though its a standard tv? If not, how can i get standard video to work with HDMI surround sound

  Your AV receiver may have HDMI, but HDMI may be simply pass-through. Connect Video out directly frpm the PS3 to the TV Connect digital audio from the PS3 to the AV receiver.
