How to hook up laptop to Sylvania plasma?

  • i need to know how to hook a HP laptop to a Sylvania 6842pf m plasma screen TV. If anyone knows how to hook a laptop up to any TV, then it would be useful. Thanks

    The easiest way would be to use the S-video input on your TV, but this is assuming your laptop has an S-video output. Most newer laptops will have this. Once connected, use the toggle button (something like Alt + F5 or Fn + F3... check your laptop users manual) to switch between your laptop screen and the TV screen. If this doesn't work, you may have to go into the Display Properties>Settings and play with the screen resolution. For my plasma TV, I had to adjust the laptop screen resolution to 1024 x 768 before it worked.
