Whats is the average coned bill (electric and gas) bill?
-
I just moved in to a 2 BR apartment in Queens NYC ( Flushing). My land lord wont be paying for the Heat and Gas. I just wanted to inquire what will be my monthly (electric + Gas+HOt water) bill from Con Edison, in Winter. Thanks

Answer:
I'm not from NYC, so I can't say for sure what the rates are there, but in the winter I would say your combined bill will probably be no more than $100. We have ComEd in Chicago, but we own a 2,700 square foot house and we have gas heat (not electric) which is provided by Nicor. I usually budget $300 for the two bills combined in the summer (for AC) and winter (for heat).
