Where can I get the training to become a Real Estate Agent?

• I've been thinking about it a lot lately and I think it's something I'd really like to get into. I just don't know where I could get the training I would need. Also, do you have to choose between being a buyers agent or working for a seller?

  Each state have their own requirements to becoming a real estate agent. You should google real estate agent followed by the state in which you reside. Several sites will pop up that you might check to see if they meet your requirements as to time and availability based on your needs. Some states require classroom time, while some would allow you to do your course work on line. There are several avenues that are available for you #1. College real estate courses (both community and 4 year college programs) #2. Weekend courses (some are cram courses) #3. Night courses #4. Crash cram courses that would get you through the basic requirements to pass your state real estate exam. Once you have your license then you would have to have a real estate broker that will accept you as an associate to work under his/her license. All states require those with a real estate sales license to work with a real estate broker licensed by the state in which they work. In some states you could work both as dual agent for both the seller as well as the buyer. Some states have passed laws that you can only represent one. You would have to find out the law in your state as to if you are able to work with one or both the seller and buyer.
