We need to have programs out they to help the low income?

Other then HUD what programs in TX help low income familes get housing?

  • My Fiance and I are looking to move into an apartment and we live close to Dallas, TX but the HUD office close to us has a waiting list of 3 years and we couldn't find any other Tx's programs to help low income families.....I was wondering if anyone knew of any programs that would help cause i know there are some i just don't know the names so if you could help that would be awsome :) Thank you!

    There are no other programs. Some private charities have homeless shelters, you would have to live in separate ones. Even HUD would not let you live in the same place, you are not related to each other. Contact the Salvation Army if you are unwilling to pay for your own housing.

There is nothing else. You need to wait like everyone else. Don't you think all the people on the waiting list would try the quicker way if they could? Nobody needs to pay you to move out. Earn it like everyone else. When I wanted to move out, I saved up and paid my own way. Why do all you young people think you deserve a handout to get started in life? Nobody owes you anything.
