Can you get a home loan in VA without showing any income?

MY husband is a va BUT i have the income, can we apply for a va home loan?

  • My husband is a VA, but now is a stay at home dad. I have the verifiable income. Can we still get a VA home loan? If so how much do you have to make to qualify for one?

  • Answer:

Yes you can get a VA loan. It depends on how much money you make, what your other debts are and what price range you are looking at. VA also has a disposable income requirement.

Sure, you're married, you're a couple, it's a joint purchase, joint qualification. Depends on the cost of house, income, credit rating, debt load, down payment. You can get a 0% down with VA (depending), but they're a VERY bad idea as you have NO equity in your home and will take a LONG time build up equity. And if you close before end of November, you can get the $8000 tax credit and use that as additional principal (equity) payment.
